ECO-NOMIA (ECO-NOMY) is a project for high school students that contributes to the creation of knowledge and skills they need to start and manage projects for sustainable community development. The project is developed with the support of Raiffeisen Bank.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The project aims to develop students' attitudes as responsible consumers or future community leaders focused on sustainable initiatives designed in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Through practical activities, examples, debates, case studies and teamwork, students learn what it means to run a sustainable, environmentally responsible business and they gain an overview of the main actors in economic life.
EDUCATIONAL OFFER
The project is developed according to the JA Inspire, Prepare, Succeed strategy and includes:
- Classroom activities based on the Eco-nomia (Eco-nomy) educational kit. Targeted concepts: sustainability, product life cycle, 9Rs principle, ecological footprint, green economy, etc.
- Eco-nomie pentru comunitatea ta (Eco-nomy for your community) projects competition to raise awareness among students about environmental issues affecting their community. By identifying and addressing these issues, students become agents of change in their communities and contribute to developing a more responsible attitude towards the environment.
