The Smart Credits module provides access to specific information and hands-on learning opportunities through which high school students discover how to properly manage their resources and effectively access a financial loan.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
Part of JA's Financial Education national program, the Smart Credits module aims to help students understand the basics of accessing and managing credit by providing hands-on exercises and examples that help them develop the skills they need to analyze financial opportunities and risks and make informed choices.
EDUCATIONAL OFFER
- The educational activities offered by the Smart Credits module include theoretical essentials and practical applications about the time value of money, methods for identifying optimal financing solutions and ways to effectively manage a loan.
- The module unfolds in the classroom, using a kit of learning materials (teacher's guide, student’s workbook, initial and final assessment).
- The learning by doing component is supported by the participation of KRUK Romania volunteers, who come to the classrooms and use examples from their professional experience to explain to students the basics of sound financial management.
