The School of the Future is Coming to JA Schools

supported by:

The School of the Future is Coming to JA Schools is an initiative developed in partnership with Vodafone Foundation to expand opportunities for applied learning and the development of personal and digital skills. The project aims to bring together Junior Achievement's international content with that available on the https://www.scoaladinviitor.ro/ platform, developed by Vodafone Foundation for an extended learning experience, that gives students the opportunity to explore and understand the world evolving around them by using multiple perspectives and approaches.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Development of digital skills among 6–15-year-old students by fostering a transdisciplinary educational model, based on the principle of practical learning and derived from joining the international experiences promoted by Junior Achievement and Vodafone Foundation through the School of the Future project.

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

All School of the Future materials follows an interactive and immersive format, combining the use of technology with learning through games and dynamic exercises.

The School of the Future content is integrated into the Junior Achievement curriculum through two courses, one for primary education, grades 0-IV, and one for middle school education, grades V-VIII, both offering teachers activities that can be delivered in physical, online or hybrid formats and are focused on digital skills.

Through the primary school activities, students develop and practice teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as media literacy, environmental protection and anti-bullying skills, in a framework that encourages creativity and innovation.

The courses for middle school students offer content on emerging technologies such as digital intelligence (digital footprinting, online friendliness, identifying credible news), artificial intelligence (AI applications in various fields, exploring future jobs in AI, the ethics of artificial intelligence), and robotics. They are designed to support the integration of new technologies and cross-curricular content into school activities, preparing students for the challenges of a digital and sustainable future.

The integrated modules include a total of 25 educational activities that can be accessed by teachers in the Junior Achievement network via the JA LEARN™ e-learning platform.
