The Future grows in the Community
supported by:
THE FUTURE GROWS IN THE COMMUNITY is a project developed in partnership with BIMBO Romania, which aims to integrate young people into the life of the community through actions that contribute both to the development of their own skills and interests and to the well-being of the community space in which they live. This project targets students aged 13 to 18, who will benefit from resources and best practice models for building the entrepreneurial, digital and communication skills they will require in their future professions.
The project takes place from January to December 2024, in the following localities: Braila, Brasov, Bucharest, Buzau, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Giurgiu, Iasi, Pitesti, Ramnicu Valcea, Targoviste, Targu Jiu, Tecuci, Timisoara.
The project will include extracurricular activities, based on the 3 levels framework of the JA learning strategy:
- INSPIRE – classroom activities led by teachers using the educational kit (online, on the JA Learn™ platform, and in-person), through which students build a positive attitude towards the need for education and new skills development in order to identify their own interests and shape the professional future they desire.
- PREPARE – through the Innovation Day and JA BizzFactory Incubator activities, students identify community needs and come up with practical solutions to solve them in a way that develops their entrepreneurial potential. Interactions with professionals in the field, an opportunity created through participation in the JA BizzFactory, will also provide students with valuable experiences, that will result in proposing feasible solutions to the identified problems, understanding the entrepreneurial process (from idea to pilot project) and developing digital and communication skills, all of which are necessary for future professions.
- SUCCEED – national competition for high schools providing a food curriculum, which includes training sessions for teachers to write projects, followed by equipping or refurbishing vocational workshops. Also during this phase, young people take part in vocational training activities based on the international JA Job Shadow format.
