Real Experiences for Career Opportunities
supported by:
Real Experiences for Career Opportunities is a project developed in collaboration with Oracle to create practical experiences and opportunities for high school students to develop the skills and interests they need for choosing a future profession.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Students between the ages of 14 and 18 will receive resources and learn best practice models to help them develop specific skills they will need in their future careers.
The project offers practical opportunities that will be delivered with the support of Oracle Romania professionals involved as Oracle Volunteers.
EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
The project includes extracurricular activities led in an applied learning context. These activities align with the three levels of the Junior Achievement learning structure:
- INSPIRE – Classroom activities are supported by teachers and based on the international Junior Achievement programs. Students will strengthen specific attitudes and skills that help them find new opportunities and shape the professional future they desire.
- PREPARE – Students are given the opportunity to talk to employee volunteers via hybrid learning sessions, where they can ask questions about their own professional futures and the different roles of employees within Oracle. Students will also explore key professional life learnings, so they can make informed decisions about their future and find smooth entry into the job market.
- SUCCEED – Job Shadow activities will allow students to discover various roles through hands-on experiences and follow in the shadow of employees with different positions and responsibilities. Students will learn how to apply the theoretical aspects of different jobs in daily life, while also gaining an understanding of the dynamics of an organization.
